Alternative Apparel on Abbot Kinney is hosting an event tomorrow night, November 20th, from 6-9pm to benefit “Where The Road Ends”!

There will be free beer and refreshments, live music by Sony Music recording artist Ry Cuming, a silent auction for some seriously incredible items, and 20% of all proceeds from anything you buy from Alternative Apparel will go directly to the film!

“Less than a quarter mile out on final, the speed is gradually slowing through 60 knots indicated. David S. Smith, the hard-driving founder and president of the conservation group CAVU, has the Robertson STOL-equipped Cessna T206H perfectly set up for landing on what is arguably an airstrip in the Darién Gap area of eastern Panama.

“The runway, such as it is, was hacked out of the bush some years ago. When it is maintained by the residents of the village that surrounds it, they do so using machetes. The runway surface may be rough and uneven, but it makes up for those flaws by being short. With obstructions.”

Where the road ends…

In southeastern Panama, the world’s longest road comes to an abrupt halt as it crashes up against North America’s last untouched tropical rainforest. As industrialists, land barons, and drug cartels battle to raze the last hundred miles to Columbia, the jungle and all of its inhabitants are seen as collateral damage. Since those without a voice cannot speak, and those without an audience cannot be heard, we must travel beyond that road and inside that jungle to meet and learn the voices of the indigenous tribes and species within.
